After contacting Healthy Spaces, Andrew was set up with an appointment with Damon Cheatham, a dry basement specialist.  Damon decided that having the Healthy Spaces installation team place a Waterguard perimeter drain system with viewports and a TripleSafe Sump Pump.  Waterguard is a drainage channel that directs water from the footer into a sump pump, so the water can be removed through a discharge line.

The first step our production crew took was, they needed to remove all debris and the previous insulation.

Next, they remediated the fungus and sealed up the vents with vent covers.

And the last step was to install a new vapor barrier that consisted of: insulating the perimeter walls with SilverGlo, spray foam band-joist around the entire perimeter, and installing new 6 mil plastic with stakes.

This family can now sleep easier knowing that Healthy Spaces was able to transform their crawlspace into a cleaner, healthier, and more energy-efficient space!

Chris talked about the options over with the homeowners, and they decided to install a PowerBrace to permanently stabilize the home foundation. Homeowners in Tennyson, IN, had issues for quite some time of water intruding their basement when it rained. Another problem was that their basement was also finished.
