From damp, musty, and vulnerable to clean, controlled, and protected—this Jasper homeowner partnered with Healthy Spaces to completely transform their crawl space into a healthier, more efficient environment beneath their home.
Here’s how we brought this space back to life, step by step:
We began with fungus remediation, eliminating existing microbial growth to protect both the home’s structure and indoor air quality. After that, we applied a professional-grade cleaning solution and thoroughly scrubbed all exposed wood surfaces, removing residue and preparing the area for long-term protection. A barrier treatment was then applied to help prevent future fungal growth and moisture damage.
Next came insulation upgrades designed for performance and durability. We installed SilverGlo insulation panels, which are specifically engineered to reflect heat, regulate temperature, and reduce humidity levels within the crawl space. This helps keep floors warmer in winter and limits excess moisture that can lead to mold and structural issues.
We also added spray foam insulation at the rim joists, one of the most common areas for air leaks. This creates an airtight seal, preventing outside air, moisture, and pests from entering while significantly improving the home’s overall energy efficiency.
To ensure a clean foundation for the system, we removed all debris from the crawl space, eliminating anything that could trap moisture or interfere with the installation.
For long-term moisture control, we installed drainage matting beneath the CleanSpace liner. This layer allows any ground moisture to properly flow underneath the system, preventing buildup and enhancing the effectiveness of the encapsulation. The CleanSpace liner itself acts as a durable vapor barrier, sealing off the earth and locking out humidity.
Finally, behind the scenes, our team handled all administrative and project coordination, ensuring everything from material staging to warranty setup and ongoing training was completed to the highest standard—so the homeowner can have complete peace of mind.
The result?
A crawl space that’s no longer a source of concern—but a clean, dry, energy-efficient asset to the home.
