From Wet Crawl Space to Total Protection in Evansville, IN

An Evansville homeowner called us after noticing water in his crawlspace — but he wasn’t sure if the gutters were the problem or if something bigger was going on underneath the home.

After a full inspection, we designed a complete crawlspace waterproofing and encapsulation system to stop water intrusion, control humidity, and protect the home long-term.

✅ Installed a SmartSump system with airtight lid, WaterWatch alarm, and IceGuard protection
✅ Added StarPipe drainage and extended discharge lines for proper water removal
✅ Installed drainage matting and CleanSpace encapsulation materials for maximum moisture control
✅ Sealed vents, insulated rim joists with spray foam, and added SilverGlo insulation
✅ Installed an EverLast crawlspace door for a tight, durable seal
✅ Added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the crawlspace dry year-round

The result? A clean, dry, healthy crawlspace — and a homeowner who no longer has to worry every time it rains.

Before: Water intrusion, moisture concerns, and uncertainty.
After: Permanent protection, controlled humidity, and peace of mind.

Multiple Basement Upgrades in Evansville, IN

Janice B. knew that her basement needed upgrades. She had been living in this home for numerous years and it needed a refresher. She also had issues with water intruding in her basement and knew that issue needed to be fixed before she spent the money on updating her space. Without further ado, gave Healthy Spaces a call to get her project started!

Not only did Janice B. from Evansville, IN get a new WaterGuard basement waterproofing system installed, she also decided to upgrade her basement walls with our EverLast wall panels. The WaterGuard system was installed around the perimeter of her basement catching any water that intrudes and taking it directly to the sump pump. From here, the water will be taken out through discharge lines. The EverLast wall panels are hard, durable, and won't dent like drywall. Along with that, they will never get moldy, rot, or get ruined by a flood or leak- even if the water is a foot deep for a week! They really brighten up the space with their beige and white color, too.

Janice is thrilled with her decision to get her basement waterproofed and the first step of her Total Basement Finishing journey!

From Damp to Dry: Complete Basement Waterproofing System in Evansville

A homeowner in Evansville contacted us because their basement was experiencing moisture and humidity issues, and they wanted a dry, airtight basement they could rely on year-round.

After evaluating the space, we installed a complete basement waterproofing and moisture-control system designed to collect water, seal the walls, and control humidity.

The project included installing a two-stage interior waterproofing system and TrenchDrain with TrenchLock to capture water at the basement entry point and direct it into the drainage system. A feed line was installed to carry collected water to a SuperSump® pump system, which includes a durable cast iron pump, sealed sump liner, airtight lid with floor drain, CleanPump stand to prevent clogs, and a WaterWatch® alarm to alert the homeowner if water levels rise.

To complete the installation, a 3' × 3' concrete pad was removed so the waterproofing system could be properly installed.

We also installed the CleanSpace® Wall System, a heavy-duty vapor barrier that seals basement walls and directs any wall moisture into the drainage system. To control humidity and improve air quality, we added a SaniDry Sedona® basement dehumidifier, elevated on a 6-inch stand for improved performance and drainage.

The result is a dry, sealed, and healthier basement environment, giving the homeowner long-term protection from water intrusion, excess humidity, and mold risk.

Mold Removal in Evansville, IN Home

In this Evansville, IN home, the source of the moisture took several months to discover and by that time, the mold growth was explosive!  The problem began with a small leak in the line coming out from the washing machine.  It was a dripping that traveled along the pipe and was virtually undetectable because it was happening within the walls.  After time, the surrounding area was so moist that the drywall collapsed upon itself at a touch.  The surrounding carpet and pad, subfloor, and pipes were all covered in a thick layer of mold.

As you can see in the before picture, the mold was growing all over the area, which was hidden beneath the house and was only visible in the crawlspace.  It wasn't until a design specialist from Healthy Spaces took a look at the crawlspace that the damage was finally revealed.  It's suspected that the leak had been occurring for at least 9 months before it was severe enough to be detected.

The after photo shows the amazing difference that the mold remediation team at Healthy Spaces created.  They treated the affected area with a chemical to kill the mold, then thoroughly scrubbed every surface to remove the spores and dead mold.  After removing the debris, they made sure the leak had been resolved and were able to repair any damage from the mold in the subfloor.
