Sara's home in Gentryville, IN had a water problem in her basement. Not being able to use it for storage due to the water, she gave Healthy Spaces a call. Our team installed our TripleSafe sump pump system that comes with an airtight lid, primary pump, secondary pump, and battery backup sump pump. We also installed CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on her basement walls. It's 100% waterproof and has anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh that will prevent any mold growth. Dennis E. from Montogmery, IN called Healthy Spaces because water had been taking over his basement. Design Specialist, Mike McAtee, was called to the job. After completing a thorough inspection of the basement, he decided that a WaterGuard system would best conquer the issues the basement was having. This is a drainage system installed around the perimeter of the basement that collects any water that may leak in. From there, the water runs to the sump pump, which is then disposed of out of discharge lines. Mike also inspected that GeoLocks were needed to help the basements foundation become stable. This system will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened over time if needed. This will allow for improvement and straightening of the wall. Lastly, CleanSpace was installed to be a wall covering, but also a moisture control barrier just in time for the hot summer months. 

When the work was finished, Dennis was very pleased with the work that was done and was happy that there won't be any more leaking water in his basement.

This family in Maceo, KY never went down to their crawl space. It was an "out of sight, out of mind" thing for them, but what they didn't know is that their crawl space was full of mold. In the before photo, you can see a nasty, old vapor barrier that has torn and become covered in mold. Not only that, but the barrier itself has pulled away from the walls and wrinkled up to the point that it is not functional. 

Healthy Spaces was called to help the homeowners get their crawl space back to a healthy and clean state. Our Design Specialist, Bob Roberts, created a plan to keep the crawl space dry and moisture-free. The SilverGlo insulation panels contain tiny graphite particles, which give it that silver shine, and reflect heat back into the crawl space while keeping the cold out. A new plastic liner was also put down on the floor to help keep water and debris out. 

The combination of the liner and SilverGlo, This Maceo, KY crawl space is now smell free, mold-free, and warm. By keeping moisture and cold air out she will also have lower energy costs which will save her money as well. 

This Odon homeowner purchased this home and was previously told that there was waterproofing around the perimeter of the home. They would continue to get small amounts of water in the basement until they removed the downspouts from going into the ground. That solved the water issue but now their basement continued to have that smell. They decided that they needed to give Healthy Spaces a call to solve the problem.

Our System Design Specialist, Damon Cheatham, quickly came to evaluate the situation. He concluded that the crawlspace would need SilverGlo, a CleanSpace liner, and a SandiDry. 

SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation is able to resist heat conduction and boast a radiant barrier, which reflects heat back into their crawl space for ultimate energy savings. 

Next, we installed our CleanSpace liner on top of the SilverGlo. This 20-mil poly-reinforced crawl space liner prevents water vapor and humidity from passing through. Keeping their crawl space dry, and free from mold and rot.

With a plan set, our production team came to the home to start the project.
