Leaking Basement in Jasper, IN

Homeowner Kyla K. from Jasper, IN was experiencing water in her basement. She dreaded hearing the weather forecast, especially when it called for rain. With every rainfall, water would slowly creep into the basement. They bought fans to constantly run after storms to dry up the sitting water. She chose to add optimism to the problem, believing it would either go away or fix itself, but unfortunately it didn’t happen. They had dealt with their dreadful basement for quite some time and finally decided that it was time to call for help.

System Design Specialist, Bob Roberts, sat down with the homeowner and gave her a same-day quote after his thorough inspection. The WaterGuard drainage system that Bob recommended seemed like the best fit. With this system, there are spacers against the wall make a neat finished look and keep dirt and debris from the floor out of the gap, while also directing water to the new TripleSafe sump pump. The sump pump would then redirect water outside through exit lines.

Now, Kyla can enjoy her water-free basement and can listen to the weather forecast without being alarmed when there was rain in the prediction.

Problems In Crawl Space in Jasper, IN

The key to solving your crawl space problem is to turn your nasty crawl space into a nice crawl space, which is exactly what our client in Jasper, IN did! Their home previously had a 6 mil polyethylene ground cover, but because it wasn't sealed at the perimeter up the walls, and because the vents were left open, this crawl space had a lot of moisture that eventually turned to mold. Another big problem with 6 mil poly is that it easily rips and gets holes poked in it when you crawl on it. This is not a permanent solution!

The team at Healthy Spaces installed drainage matting underneath the CleanSpace liner, which allows water to flow to a sump in a crawl space that already has a concrete floor. Next, we sealed the entire crawl space with a 20 mil thick plastic liner, similar to a pool liner called CleanSpace. This bright white crawl space liner installs on the walls and floors, preventing water vapor and humidity from passing through.

We service Jasper, Ferdinand, Huntingburg, and many nearby areas in Indiana and Kentucky.

A Crawl Space Comeback: Clean, Sealed, and Secured in Jasper, Indiana

From damp, musty, and vulnerable to clean, controlled, and protected—this Jasper homeowner partnered with Healthy Spaces to completely transform their crawl space into a healthier, more efficient environment beneath their home.

Here’s how we brought this space back to life, step by step:

We began with fungus remediation, eliminating existing microbial growth to protect both the home’s structure and indoor air quality. After that, we applied a professional-grade cleaning solution and thoroughly scrubbed all exposed wood surfaces, removing residue and preparing the area for long-term protection. A barrier treatment was then applied to help prevent future fungal growth and moisture damage.

Next came insulation upgrades designed for performance and durability. We installed SilverGlo insulation panels, which are specifically engineered to reflect heat, regulate temperature, and reduce humidity levels within the crawl space. This helps keep floors warmer in winter and limits excess moisture that can lead to mold and structural issues.

We also added spray foam insulation at the rim joists, one of the most common areas for air leaks. This creates an airtight seal, preventing outside air, moisture, and pests from entering while significantly improving the home’s overall energy efficiency.

To ensure a clean foundation for the system, we removed all debris from the crawl space, eliminating anything that could trap moisture or interfere with the installation.

For long-term moisture control, we installed drainage matting beneath the CleanSpace liner. This layer allows any ground moisture to properly flow underneath the system, preventing buildup and enhancing the effectiveness of the encapsulation. The CleanSpace liner itself acts as a durable vapor barrier, sealing off the earth and locking out humidity.

Finally, behind the scenes, our team handled all administrative and project coordination, ensuring everything from material staging to warranty setup and ongoing training was completed to the highest standard—so the homeowner can have complete peace of mind.

The result?

A crawl space that’s no longer a source of concern—but a clean, dry, energy-efficient asset to the home.

Jasper, IN SilverGlo Insulation Installation

This is a current project that our crawlspace installation team is working on today. They are completing a crawlspace encapsulation on a home with an old style vapor barrier and have just completed installing SilverGlo over the foundation walls to help the crawlspace be more energy efficient. Once the SilverGlo is installed, they will be removing the black plastic and putting down the CleanSpace engineered film to fully isolate the crawlspace from groundwater intrusion and outside air! We're looking forward to more photos as the day progresses!

Leaky Philpot, KY Basement Will be Dry ALL the Time!

Wet basements are pretty common in Philpot and many cities in Kentucky.  With the proximity to rivers and streams, higher humidity, and an average rainfall of 45" per year, basement moisture levels are a common problem.  Increased moisture leads to mold concerns and problems with effloresence, mildrew and fungus, and increased pest activity.

These homeowners were determined to stop the basement flooding cycle by installing an interior basement waterproofing system through Healthy Spaces.

The Healthy Spaces installation team installed 179 linear feet of waterguard, a SuperSump sump pump system, and 15' of discharge line.  The Waterguard system is installed along the perimeter of the basement and has a special flange to catch wall moisture as well!  The water is directed through the Waterguard into the SuperSump, then removed far from the basement through the discharge line.
