Sagging Crawl Space Floors in Madisonville, KY

Greg in Madisonville, KY, had joists in his crawl space that were not installed correctly, so he had cinderblocks put underneath there to fix the sagging. Now that some time has passed, the cinderblocks are no longer touching the floors and they're leaning. The problem with installing block columns is that as the concrete columns later settle into the soil below, additional shims may need to be added. In other words, this is a fix that will need to be repeated, again and again. This option doesn't also address the root problem.
