Waterproofing a Basement in Mc Leansboro, IL

If you come across signs of water damage in your basement, it is ideal to repair it as soon as possible before the problem worsens, causing you more money in the long run. A homeowner in Mc Leansboro, IL had water damage in his basement. The humid atmosphere was causing the homeowner to spend more money on energy costs since he needed the basement and home to be a comfortable temperature to live in. The homeowner was ready to cut out the costs of energy being used while creating a relaxing place to be in.

A system needed to be set in place to dispose of any water that entered the basement through the walls. The solution for water drainage was the WaterGuard and sump pump system. One key to a waterproofing system is that it must have an opening to drain water from the walls, such as the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard will carry any water entering from the walls, to the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump sports three sump pumps in one sump liner. Once an efficient waterproofing system was made for the basement of this home, the homeowner was thrilled to know that from now on, he will be saving more money on energy costs. Goodbye humidity!

Water Leakage in the Home's Cellar in Utica, KY

A homeowner in Utica, KY scheduled an inspection with Healthy Spaces because his cellar and basement had rainwater leaking in. The homeowner was interested in waterproofing his basement to prevent further damage and lower his energy bills. The homeowner was also interested in replacing the old sump pump that was failing. Because the sump pump did not have an airtight lid, the basement was exposed to water vapor.

CleanSpace was secured onto the walls of the basement.  Any water vapor that would enter the basement would be directed towards the WaterGuard. WaterGuard has a built-in, 3/8-inch gap between the floor and the wall. Water from the WaterGuard flows toward the SuperSump pump. Once the basement waterproofing system was completed, the homeowner was pleased with the transformation!

Moldy Basement Walls, in Washington, IN

In Washington, IN, a homeowner reached out to Healthy Spaces about mold concerns in his basement. He wanted a thorough inspection of the space to see what solutions we could provide. There was mold present on the bottom halves of the walls, where water was likely coming in through. The basement needed a waterproofing system to fix the issue for good.

CleanSpace was installed on the walls to protect against water vapor. The water vapor will be trapped by the CleanSpace, enabling it to move down to the WaterGuard system.  The WaterGuard receives the water and then carries it toward the sump pump. The homeowner was impressed that such a simple system would keep his basement looking nice and dry!

Basement Waterproofing in Rockport, IN

It is never pleasant to find water on your basement floor after a rainstorm. It can also be frustrating when your keepsakes are at risk of ruining if repeated rainwater leaked in again. A similar occurrence happened in Rockport, IN. A homeowner reached out to Healthy Spaces in hopes of waterproofing his basement.

The best solution for the basement is to install the WaterGuard system to direct water toward the sump pump, leaving the ground completely dry. The SuperSump pump was the best sump pump for this basement. Lastly, the homeowner wanted a finished look, so BrightWall panels were put in. The waterproofing system was finished and ready to protect the home from future rain storms, leaving the customer satisfied!

Mold Concern in the Basement in Hartford, KY

If you are spotting mold in your basement, then you are more than likely breathing in the mold upstairs. This occurrence is called the stair stack effect, which creates an airflow in your home from bottom to top. A homeowner in Hartford, Kentucky had this exact issue in their basement.  Whatever is in your crawl space/basement air is in your house also, whether or not you spend any time in the crawl space. Upon inspection, the basement was damp and there was water leaking from the walls whenever it rained, getting the carpet wet. The homeowner was interested in waterproofing his basement so that it can become usable again.

To begin the transformation, every wooden beam that was affected by mold was scrubbed and treated in the basement. Once this portion of the job was completed, the CleanSpace liner is secured on the walls to protect against water vapor. A small trench is dug out alongside the walls for the Waterguard to be placed in. It sits on the footing, instead of alongside it, which keeps mud from getting into the drain because the drain does not sit in the mud. It has a built-in 3/8-inch gap between the floor and the wall to drain wall leaks. Once the waterproofing segment was completed, the basement was now safe for storage.
